The front page

I use the Blogger format because
1)  it's easy to create a name for a website that is easily remembered
2) I can upload a hundred photos in three clicks

I have used Ben Staley's portfolio for more than two years. If the portfolio is ever taken down or the account is suspended, I want this record to be available for others to see.  I have organized it in groups.

There are a series of essays that deserve to stand alone.  Ben appears to be an engineering sort.  He likes to work on robotics projects and he goes with less sleep than his body probably needs.  3 hours on average?  Wow.   Still, he produces a remarkable number of book reports.   He is the ideal of the science - concept age nexus...  he connects imagination and emotions with science and tech.   I have yet to read the John Green novel.    The fault lies in our stars.  It comes from a line in Julius Caesar

Men at some time are masters of their fates. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars. But in ourselves, that we are underlings. Brutus and Caesar

His sleep study is particularly helpful for teenagers.  that's why I have set it with its own blog post.  Please STUDY THIS SERIES, students.  You can see how honest Ben is with his assessment.

I fear that I will be asked to remove these items if I make a point of thanking Ben directly.  So, Ben, if you find this post, please accept my thanks for your openness and willingness ot share your insights.   You have moved me to ask more of my students.  I show them what you have done and I ask, "How much more powerful would this be if he had added a youtube video to the display?"   I hope you will add your explanation so that your future self will one day hear your current voice.

High Tech High school allows anyone to see their students' work
This is the meat.   You can see how he organizes the major projects

Ben told me that he used Adope Illustrator or something like that to create the skin of this site.
It looks nice to see the tabs at the top.

I hope that the full essay remains available to allow students to see Ben's writing.
I like his voice.  He writes clearly and doesn't worry about spelling
